Ok I found a fun student project I reccomend trying. If anyone who sees this wouldn't mind going to www.lost.eu/49d3e and giving it a try. It's an interesting idea. It isn't a pay site, or anything like that. I just thought it was kind of cool and hey feel free to join and never come back. At least by doing so you will put me one small step closer to winning. Ok, true to my previous promise I have posted my latest fic, "Helping the Not-So-Helpless) at Twisting the Hellmouth. It is a Batwoman/Faith pairing crossing over with DC Comics.

I have decided in the interest of those of you who have followed me on livejournal that while I won't be posting stories directly on here, I will continue to announce them on this journal along with posting a link on where to go to read them. So those of you who have been following my fic on this journal (assuming my very long absence hasn't sent you all away) can still find them on here. Sorry for the inconveninece. When I find another home for my fics I will let everyone know here, but I will still continute announcing my new fics here. It seems like the best way to go about dooing it.

Hey everyone, I finished another story, finally. Unfortunately, I won't be posting it here on livejournal and likely won't be posting any future stories here either.
”Why” you ask? Because this new rich text editor is completely unaccommodating to cut and pasting my stories from MS Word. And I obviously can't type the whole thing out in this window.
I have tried at least four times now, on four different days to post it. Each time once I get to pasting the story into the LJ cut it slows down to a halt. Not to mention half the time formats it completely wrong. And it takes FOREVER to do anything once that story is pasted in it. Tweaking it to where it looks right will take longer then it took me to write the story. I know because this time I spent almost 30 minutes trying, and still couldn't get it to look right. Not to mention all the fun of hiting enter, waiting… waiting… waiting… oh it moved the line down after only 45 seconds this time!
I apologies to anyone who likes livejounral. I liked it too initially, but this new design just doesn't work for my needs.
So what will I be doing? I am going to most likely have to move my stories, or at least my future ones to myspace, or something similar to that and/or livejournal that is easier for me to cut and paste my stories onto. Either that or put up a webpage once more. I will look around and try to find something that anyone can see, not some member site that only members can read so you guys can at least read my stories hassle free. That way anyone who has followed my stories on here will still be able to read them.
When I get that done, and get my latest story posted I will post a link to where it can be found here in my journal. That will likley be my last post on livejournal. It's been a fun ride, but it no longer seems to accommodate what I joined it for in the first place. I thank those of you that have read and commented on my stories here. My future stories will be around and I hope those of you who like my work (and amazingly such people seem to actually exist) will read them at wherever they show up next at. Current Mood:  annoyed |

I bet you guys are surprised to see a post from me huh? Oh who am I kidding, like anyone still visits my journal. :)
Anyway I am back, sort of. As some of you may have noticed I finally posted the Harmony/Willow fic I said was coming soon… months later. Hey at least it’s up;).
So why haven’t I posted lately? Lots of reasons. For one I no longer work nights so I actually have time to go out and do other things and have some kind of a life. Good for me, bad for getting fics out quickly. When I worked late hours and came home with nothing better to do I had much more time to write fics then I do now.
The other reason is that I have gotten back into one of my earlier loves. Comic Book collecting. In fact if I continue to post regularly on this board don’t be surprised if you see the occasional comic book related rant on here.
So in my round about rant since I got hooked on comic books once again a lot of the time I did spend writing I now spend reading comic books. Not saying that is bad, because frankly I love them as much as ever and missed them and money aside I am glad to be back to reading comic books.
Hopefully I will make the time to write at least a little more and get some more stories out. So keep checking back I will try at least to touch base here once in a while, even if it is just to rant so everyone will know I am still out here.
Also, since it has been so long some of the communities/mailing list I was on are no longer active. Anyone who knows a good place to post my fics I would be much obliged.

Ok, I know I say this a lot but this time I mean it, new stories are REALLY on the way.
I finished "Kinda Hot" my before mentioned Harmony/Willow story and have sent it to my beta reader. I don't know the exact time but he plans to have it betad by the end of the week. So it should be out in the very near future.
I also signed the Harmony round of femslash_minis shocking I know. So I will also have to have my response in by the end of the week. Which of course will also be posted here.
So keep an eye out new stories really are coming. And this time... I mean it.

I was surfing the internet a little while ago and came across something cool. Well cool to me, the worlds biggest Charisma Carpenter fan. (ok probably not really but I say I at least rank in the top 25. )
Anyway I found a site that had the unaired pilot for Cats and Dogs. What is Cats and Dog’s some/all of you may ask? Well it was a television pilot produced starring Charisma Carpenter shortly after her sting on Angel. The premise being about a professional career woman and fanatic dog lover (has a house full of dogs who “have middle names.”) who’s slacker brother moves in with her.
I won’t lie, I won’t be losing sleep wondering why the show wasn’t picked up as it wasn’t all that funny, even the studio audience wasn’t exactly eating it up if their reaction to the jokes is any indication. But the acting was pretty good (I blame the writing not the actors.) and it did provide a few chuckles. And hey it was 20 minutes of Charisma Carpenter and that is NEVER a bad thing. At least not if you are me.
So if any of you guys want to see it you can find it at Charisma-carpenter.com in the multimedia section. I am not direct linking because I figure that the least I could do for the site after giving me a chance to see this thing is give them some more hits. But click on the multimedia links at the top of their home page and you can’t miss it. It’s the first item in there. Along with some fun and rare media clips of Charisma in interviews, guest appearances, etc.
The picture is fairly small and like most unaired pilot’s that get out in circulation the picture, sound and overall video quality is dodgy at best. But it is in it’s entirety and if you are anything like me it’s always a kick to see a pilot that never made it and wonder what might have been.

I just won an award for "The New Trend" at The Dangerous Type Awards.
This time it was a runner up award and not the winner, but being as The New Trend is one of my second favorite story I have written, (right behind "When One Life Ends") I am happy it won an award at all.

Well I just wanted to tell anyone still here that I have officially started writing again. I have written more of my Harmony/Willow story. It won't be as soon as I thought, obviously but I should be done by next week, knock on wood.
I have also decided to write an idea I had for a Dawn/Xena fan-fic. Yep as usual I just think so conventionally in my pairings, what can I say.
So don't lose hope (unless you are one of the ones who hoped you would never see my stories again. Then lose all the hope you want.) more stories are coming.

Hi everyone. Yes I know my updates are coming few and far between on this journal as of late. I will spare everyone the tired reasons/excuses but I am going to try and improve that. I have written some of my latest Harmony/Willow short and HOPEFULLY I will have it finished by the end of the week, no promises but I am pretty sure I will have the first draft done by next week at the latest.
I did manage to create a new photo manip though. I was having problems with my old copy of Photoshop and my new computer. So I went out and decided to give Paint Shop Pro X a try. Sure it isn't photoshop, but it is a heck of a lot more recent then the outdated photoshop I was using. So I installed and low and behold within an hour I managed to create a new photomanip. For someone who hasn't read the manual and has used the program all of one time I thought it came out pretty good.

I just thought I would drop a quick line to let anyone who is wondering know what happened to me.
No I am not dead, I just joined the 21st century. Due to some good luck I got a Pentium 4 computer for a REALLY good price. So once I did that the first thing I did was get a Cable internet account. Because I had wanted one forever but the dinosaur I had before wasn’t fast enough to really support one.
So between the high speed connection and new computer I have been busy with my new toys and hadn’t had time to write, I also haven’t had a chance to move my stories, including the one I was working on, to my new computer yet.
Hopefully I can get that done soon, so I can post more. I won’t bother with my reviews for Lost and Smallville these last two weeks since I didn’t record them and my memory isn’t 100%, although I have been enjoying both of them since they came back from hiatus. But I will try to due my usual ranting starting next week.
Also, I have possibly found a new home for my website so for those of you who remember and went to it, I may have it back up sooner rather then later.
So anyway that is what has been going on and why my journal has been dead.

Yay, I won my first award for a fic. My story Harmonic Reflections, which I mentioned a while ago was nominated for "best Harmony story" in the Dangerous Type Awards won! I am so psyched, what is even cooler is that I didn't nomiate it myself. Someone apparently thought enough of my story to nominate it. (to this day I have no idea who nominated it. No one has claimed credit for doing so and I certinally never asked anyone to nominate me.) So thanks one again to who nominated it, whoever you are.
So here to show off (beacause I unfortunatley don't have a website to do so. I so need to create a new one.) my award button.
Isn't it cool? I would like to thank the judges, the academy, Electronis Zappa who beta reads all my stories and has made me look like a much better speller then I actually am. As well as my cat and whoever else needs thanking.
Also as a side note round three has started and someone (again not me which makes it SO much cooler.) has nominated Changing Love for best Lana (from Smallville) fan-fic. Ironic too since I will be honest and say unlike Harmonic Reflections I was never thrilled with how Changing Love turned out. Although I am glad others like it:)
Well that is all. Sorry if this seems like self congradulations. I try to steer away from doing that beacause I don't want to sound like one of those guys who always post "aren't I great? Please reply to confirm it." types. Beacause that is not me. But seeing as how I have never (to my knowledge) been nominated for any fan-fic awards much less one it is exciting that I got nominated and won. So I had to enjoy it somehwere.
Speaking of fics, I know I have said it before but I do plan to hopefully have more fics in the not to distant future. Work has been hectic as usual and adding to the fact my birthday was this month and of course Christmas is coming I haven't had a lot of time to write. But I do plan to write more very soon. I have started work on a Harmony/Willow fan-fic, beacause as anyone who knows me or my fics will tell you I love Harmony. But I also have a Buffy/Willow fic "on the backburner" and am even hoping to write another installment of my "Jadzia's Fantasies" in the not to distant future.
So look back soon and hopefully you will se more writing .

I haven't posted anything in a while on here so I thought I would check in.
Nothing much going on just work and Chirstmas shoping. I love Christmas shopping. It is my favorite part of the holidays, I don't even mind crowded malls. I got all of it done and put up my tree and decorations, so I feel like it is really Christmas now.
Well that was really all I had to say. I will try to post soon, hopefully with more stories but between work and shopping I haven't had much time to write. Hopefully I will find some too. Work looks like it will be slowing down for a while soon enough.
